The best tacos in Brownsville! Service was good! We will definitely come back every time we're in town.

One of the best taco spots here in Brownsville, food is always on point, restaurant is typically clean and service is good (taco spots here aren't known for providing superior service but they aren't horrible either). Overall give this place 4 stars and only because their service could be better in terms of customer service and attentiveness.

Tacos were amazing. Seasoning definitely on point! We're originally from North Carolina visiting and came here to visit and came across this spot with family. By far the best tacos I've had. Nice little spot with flavorful tacos. I usually eat about 4 tacos, I had 6 here. Horchata had great flavor too. Not the type of stuff they put in those big slushie machine and spin all day And my wife never ate tripe tacos. She hates the soft texture of it, but they can make it dorado(crispy) here and she smashed it! I ordered suave and oh my! I can't tell my mom because she would kill me. Wish this establishment would open back home.

We are from out of town. Someone recommended this restaurant. We didn't understand the Spanish menu fully but we went ahead and ordered tacos and other dishes. Everyone just loved the food! Yes, it is a "hole in the wall" place but the service was fantastic and the people are super friendly. If I lived in Brownsville, I would go every week. It's the best authentic Mexican place!!

Better than Ultimo and Mr taco. Really good flavor and good service. Frijoles especiales are better, too.

I had tacos at another popular taqueria near by, but this week I was recommended Taqueria La Villa, and I was told this Taqueria was the best in town. I walked in expecting a lot. The verdict is out, this place rocks, from the tacos, to the service, this place is The Bomb dot com. The place is decorated with simple Mexican decor of bright colors. You walk in and seat yourself, and immediately a lady comes to your table to take your appetizer and drink order. I ordered the charro beans and from the aguas frescas choices, I ordered the Cucumber. The beans are nicely flavored, and the Cucumber drink has lots of fresh cucumber in it, it was very refreshing and lightly sweetened. I added lime juice, (it adds a little tanginess to the drink, Try it!!). My choice of tacos was 3 bistec tacos (chopped grilled beef steak), and 3 crispy tripita tacos (chitterlings that have been cleaned, boiled, and fried to a crisp). They are served in corn or flour tortillas, with chopped cilantro, a slice of avocado, and queso fresco on each taco, and a side of sliced grilled onions. The tacos are FANTASTIC!!!

Came here on a Friday night looking for somewhere to eat out that wasn't packed. Love the food here. Tacos are delicious. And the choriqueso was really good and came out quickly. The waitress cleaned our table and took our order quickly and made sure the choriqueso came before the tacos. Lemonade is also amazing

After traveling an extremely long way from Austin Texas, our family spent the day in the hot sun and wind, visiting SpaceX in Starbase Texas. Coming to La Villa Taqueria was kind of like getting a dinner at a welcoming home, with family after such a long hot day. We started off with a relaxing place to sit at the table, and a delicious ice cold HORACHATA. There is no rush here, nobody comes and tries to hurry you along. If you want to eat quickly you can, if you want to linger you can do that too. The food was absolutely stunning, just look at the pictures I posted. You get a very large quantity, much much more than you can eat, but it tastes absolutely delicious too. The tortillas are amazing. The vegetables and seasonings are completely fresh. The meat is perfectly seasoned. Honestly, I will visit this restaurant every single time I make the trip down to Brownsville. One of the owners was so friendly, which is a very welcome thing. We had a fantastic discussion about how a Tesla vehicle works. I wish I could see this friendliness elsewhere but I only noticed it in the Rio Grande Valley. I hope you will try this place out, and give it a chance. And please give a large tip to the staff here. They work extremely hard, they make the best food that you can get in all of the Rio Grande Valley. Well. There's many many many places with excellent food. I just happen to think this one is the best, at least in Brownsville Texas.

We had the tostadas, sopes, and tacos. They were very good. The tostadas were desebrada and the tacos were bistec. They are inexpensive because they are small so u need a few. Cute restaurant and service was excellent. Try it if u like Tx mex.
